The New Vibrating Screen Sorton 900
– Efficient Material Screening
In many construction and earthwork projects, the material delivered to the job site does not have a uniform structure. It contains both fine grains and larger pieces of soil, stone, or other materials. The Sorton 900 vibrating screen from SID is used to quickly sort this material by separating the individual fractions.
Main product features:
– Screen with 15 × 15 mm mesh
It enables precise, repeatable material separation and allows for obtaining the desired fraction of the screened material.
– Large screen working surface
The screen, measuring 900 × 2030 mm, provides an adequate contact area between the material and the screening surface.
– Electric vibration drive
The use of the MVE 500/1E-50A0 vibration motor with a power rating of 0.55 kW provides a simple and effective way to drive the screening system.
Non-uniform material can hinder its further use, transport, or processing. Separating larger pieces by hand is labor-intensive, and it is difficult to achieve consistent results using this method. The Sorton 900 allows this step to be automated, streamlining material preparation.
The material is fed onto an inclined screen, which is set in vibrating motion. The vibrations cause the material to move across the screen’s surface. Finer particles pass through the openings, while larger ones move toward the discharge chute.
This solution effectively separates the fractions without the need for manual sorting. At the same time, the user receives better-prepared material that can be used as intended or sent to the next stage of processing.
