Grid screen Sorton 1000 | New from SID
The SID Sorton 1000 is a pre-screen designed to handle coarse and heavy material. Its purpose is to initially separate large pieces from the finer fraction before the material moves on to the next stage of processing.

This solution was designed for materials that traditional fine-mesh screens may have trouble handling. The Sorton 1000 is particularly well-suited for stones, rubble, gravel, concrete blocks, and other heavy and large items from construction, demolition, and earthwork projects.
The Sorton 1000 does not have a traditional mesh screen. Its screening surface consists of sturdy, elongated steel beams that create screening spaces between them. Material moving across the inclined screen is pre-sorted—smaller pieces pass between the beams, while larger ones are directed elsewhere.
The beams are bolted in place, and their position can be adjusted to change the clearance between them. This allows the operator to adapt the screen to the type and size of the material being screened.
When dealing with heavy material, the first step is often not precise sorting into several fine fractions, but rather the separation of large pieces from the material that can be sent for further processing.
The Sorton 1000 is designed to perform this very stage. It can be used prior to crushing, further screening, or other material processing operations. As a result, larger pieces are preliminarily separated, and the subsequent process can be better tailored to the prepared material.
